Grocery Store Manager – Growing, Upscale Market

We’re seeking a Store Manager to lead a high-volume gourmet food market known for quality, hospitality, and elevated standards. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership — owning performance, culture, and execution across every department.

What You’ll Own

• Lead all departments including deli, produce, meat, seafood, grocery, bakery, prepared foods, pizza, wine & cheese, and front end
• Ensure operational excellence, cleanliness, food safety, and presentation standards
• Directly manage and develop department managers
• Build a strong leadership bench through hiring, coaching, and succession planning
• Analyze KPIs and implement strategies to grow revenue and protect margins
• Partner with buyers and department leaders on cost control and vendor performance
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and decisively
• Oversee events, tastings, and community engagement initiatives
• Ensure merchandising, signage, and pricing accuracy throughout the store
• Maintain compliance with labor laws, health codes, OSHA standards, and alcohol regulations
• Ensure readiness for inspections, audits, and loss prevention procedures

What You Bring

• 3+ years of leadership experience in grocery, food retail, or hospitality
• Strong operational and financial acumen with P&L management experience
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability
