General Manager – Gourmet Grocery Store / Specialty Market

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations of a gourmet market. This role has full ownership of store performance, team leadership, and guest experience, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial results, and a best-in-class shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable all store team members and department leaders
- Drive exceptional, guest-focused service and a culture of hospitality on the sales floor
- Oversee all store operations including inventory, merchandising, food safety, and compliance
- Own sales performance, labor management, and key financial metrics
- Execute promotions, seasonal programs, and visual merchandising standards
- Manage opening/closing procedures, cash controls, and operational reporting
- Act as the primary decision-maker for the store and partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of retail, grocery, or specialty food management experience (General Manager or equivalent)
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and manage store-level financials
- Strong operational, organizational, and communication skills
- Passion for food, quality products, and elevated guest experiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
