Restaurant Manager- Casual Dining- 65k to 75k plus Bonus!

The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and customer-centric service. This role requires a seasoned professional with a background in managing high-volume chain casual restaurants. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including hosts, servers, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional service.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all front-of-house operations run smoothly, including dining room, bar, and event spaces, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service.
  • Customer Experience: Monitor and enhance the guest experience, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Staff Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events, while optimizing labor costs.
  • Training and Development: Implement training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff to improve skills and service standards.
  • Inventory and Supplies Management: Oversee the ordering, receiving, and inventory of front-of-house supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Financial Performance: Assist in budget management, monitor financial performance, and work with management to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special events and promotions to drive guest engagement and increase sales.
  • Communication: Foster clear and effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure a cohesive operation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a high-volume chain casual restaurant.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a large team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
